Bellator 237: Fedor vs. Rampage live results, updates, highlights from full card

Two MMA legends do battle in the final card of 2019 as former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko meets former UFC light heavyweight champion and one of the sport’s biggest personalities, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, in the main event of Bellator 237 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, streaming live on DAZN.

Emelianenko (38-6, one no-contest) returns for the first time after getting knocked out by Ryan Bader in 35 seconds in the Heavyweight Grand Prix final at Bellator 214 in January. Speculation swirled that the fight could have been it for the Russian. But it was all just rumors when Emelianenko signed an extension with the promotion in June with intent of it being the final contract of his storied career.

“The Last Emperor” fights in Japan for the first time since a first-round TKO victory over Singh Jaideep at Rizin World Grand Prix 2015 Finale back in December 2015. The man who is viewed by the majority of MMA pundits as the greatest heavyweight in mixed martial arts history mainly competed in Japan for the first half of his career under the PRIDE promotion where he ran through the competition in becoming the heavyweight champion and the best fighter in the world.

Jackson (38-13) comes back after the longest layoff of his caeer. He will be fighting for the first time since Bellator 206 in September 2018  when he stopped Wanderlei Silva in the second round to snap a two-bout skid. Like Emelianenko, “Rampage” put himself on the map also fighting in PRIDE from 2001-2006.
